The Japan Fashion Week Organization works with manufacturers in the textile and fashion industry, fashion designers and retailers in Japan, who share the passion, to implement the following programs based on closer ties among "Creativity" "Craftsmanship" and "Trading".
Human Resource Development and Support Program
NEW DESIGNER FASHION GRAND PRIX
This program is one of the biggest Fashion Award in the world.
It provides an opportunity for students and the public to show their achievements and creativities,
with a goal of cultivating young fashion designers both from Japan and around the world,
who will play an important role in the textile and fashion industry in the future.
(The number of applications this year was about 13,000). From this time,
"Young Designer Cultivation and Development Project",
carried out by the Japan Fashion Week Organization and the Tokyo metropolitan government,
will be added to the existing program,
and we will newly conduct "Development and Business Support" and "Exchange with the Asian Countries" programs.

Collection Program
Tokyo Collection Week
A diversity of designers from experienced to up-and-coming designers present their unique and novel creativities at the Tokyo Collection Week.
We will continue to introduce "fresh and young Tokyo designs"
to the world strongly through designer's creativities.

SHINMAI Creator's Project
The purpose of the project is to provide an entrée into the Japanese fashion market for both domestic and foreign talented young designers seeking to introduce their brand/fashion line in Japan.
Designers that have experience for less than ten years, have a strong interest in Japanese manufacturing,
and have received recommendations from a professor from an overseas fashion school or the principal of a Japanese fashion school are eligible.
Three designers will be selected to be introduced in a fashion show and exhibition during The 8th Japan Fashion Week in TOKYO.

The power and presence of the JFW in TOKYO has been rising.
The JFW JAPAN CREATION takes place as a Textile Program of the JFW in TOKYO.
This general textile trade fair aims to introduce trends of "Japanese quality" which has Asia's top-level high added value to the world, and to provide high-quality business opportunities.
